PIBL Launches Official Website and Opens Player Registration for 2026 Season
A new era for baseball in Latin America begins — Two divisions, one vision, countless opportunities.
The Panamerican Independent Baseball League (PIBL) proudly announces the launch of its official websitewww.panambaseballleague.com, marking a historic step toward connecting young baseball talent across Latin America.
Starting tomorrow , player registration is officially open for the upcoming 2026 season. Players from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic are invited to sign up and join one of the most ambitious independent baseball projects in the region.
The league features two competitive divisions:
- U18 Division(15-18 years old)
- Pro Division(19-26 years old)
“Our mission is simple: to create real opportunities for players through competitive baseball, education, and international exposure,” said Orlando Y. Meléndez Miranda, founder of PIBL. “This project was born from a vision to help players develop on and off the field, integrating mental health, education, and athletic performance as key pillars.”
Founded on Orlando’s lifelong passion for baseball and inspired by his early mentorship under his father, Wilfredo Meléndez Batista, the league continues to grow through partnerships with Baseball Without Borders , PRIBL, MLB partnered Independent Leagues and other organizations committed to youth development.
